Asturias
Alba Trail
The Alba Trail is a marked short-distance route located in the municipality of Sobrescobio inside Redes Natural Park. It is a waymarked itinerary that runs through the valley of the Alba River and the surrounding natural environments.
The landscape alternates mature beech woods and riparian forest with more open stretches of mountain meadows and traditional pastures; the overall feel is that of a rural, mountainous valley typical of Redes.
The path follows dirt tracks and sections with uneven footing; it may include localized slopes and rocky or muddy passages depending on the season. No technical equipment is required, but appropriate footwear and caution are advisable on steeper or wet sections.
It is a good option for walkers seeking a short route with direct contact with the forests and valleys of Redes Natural Park and to experience Asturias's network of short-distance trails. Spring and autumn are often especially scenic due to vegetation changes.
